The contest will be held at AO MOSENERGO's TEZ-21 training center. Teams from 15 power stations will take part in this competition. The contest is organized by the Moscow Center for Personnel Training (MTsPK) and TEZ-21. The jury is headed by Igor Goryunov, chief engineer of AO MOSENERGO.
The contest of technical teams consists of four stages. At the stage of the professional skills testing the jury looks at how teams can run power units in complicated, non-standard conditions. Through computer emulation the teams have to start and run power units and overcome emergencies. In addition to technical skills, the jury checks psychological and physical qualities of the personnel: the ability to work in strained conditions, reactions, etc. Team members have to demonstrate knowledge of instructions, theoretical knowledge of design and operation parameters, ability to find reasons for technical failure. Using mannequins, the teams will show how to provide medical aid in case of injury.
From the beginning of 90s AO MOSENERGO has regularly conducted personnel qualification tests. They are held to exchange skills within the system and improve operation quality and safety. These contests help to increase the preparedness of AO MOSENERGO's personnel for managing the company's operations.
