On 19th May, 2004 in the framework of the annual New Russian Style exhibition ALROSA announced winners of its Best Diamond Jewellery Contest at a special ceremony in Gostiny Dvor in Moscow.
Some 120 foreign and 130 Russian companies are taking part in the New Russian Style Exhibition.
The Best Diamond Jewellery Contest is held by ALROSA for the 8th consecutive time and is part of the company’s comprehensive program aimed at reviving the traditions of Russian jewellery art and craftsmanship, popularizing works by best Russian jewellers, encouraging demand for diamond jewellery in the domestic market.
The contest was held in three major nominations:
- Best Jewellery with Large and Medium-Sized Diamonds;
- Best Jewellery with Small Diamonds;
- Best Line in Diamond Jewellery
and a special nomination ‘Diamonds in the Avant-Guard Style’.
Some 70 applications were received. The winners in the major nominations are:
