In March the airline company carried 468,500 passengers (including 2,700 passengers of charter flights) and 13,500 tons of post and freight. There were made 1.484 billion passenger-kilometers and 213.7mln ton-kilometers.
Operating volumes have increased in comparison with the last year:
- according to passenger-kilometers - by 11.3 per cent,
- according to ton-kilometers - by 21.5 per cent,
- according to carriage of passengers - by 14.2 per cent,
- according to freight carriage - by 31.2 per cent.
Carriage of passengers raised by 11.4 per cent on the international air lines (IAL) and by 21.3 per cent on the home air lines (HAL).
They have flown in the aircraft fleet (AF) on the whole by 11.1 per cent of hours more than last year.
Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 59.6 per cent in March; it increased by 2.7 per cent compared with the last year level. Passenger seats' occupation rate amounted to 66.9 per cent and exceeded the last year rate by 1.8 per cent.
Fuel consumption was reduced by 2,700 ton. Fuel rate amounted to 440 gram per a ton-kilometer and it came down by 48 gram compared with the last year.
For the first quarter of 2004 the airline company carried 1,336,500 passengers and 31,800 tons of post and freight. There were made 4.357 billion passenger-kilometers and 577.1 million ton-kilometers.
In comparison with the last year operating volumes have increased during the first quarter:
- according to passenger-kilometers - by 14.9 per cent,
- according to ton-kilometers - by 22.7 per cent,
- according to carriage of passengers - by 15.7 per cent,
- according to freight carriage - by 31.0 per cent.
Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 57.7 per cent; it exceeded the last year level by 4 per cent.
Passenger seats' occupation rate amounted to 68.2 per cent; it exceeded the last year level by 4.9 per cent.
During the first quarter of 2004 266,300 tons of aviation kerosene was consumed. Fuel rate amounted to 460 gram per a ton-kilometer; it came down by 60 gram compared with the last year rate.
Aeroflot Director General Valery Okulov mentioned such positive tendencies of the first quarter of 2004 as income growth at the expense of own sales increase and also fuel rate reduction. "The results of the first months of the year indicate clearly the efficient work of the airline company", Mr. Okulov emphasized.
