JSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: RTS, MICEX, LSE: HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) announces that it has published in Izvestia newspaper notification that the period has opened to acquire shares of the additional issue by exercising pre-emptive rights.  Notification was also placed on the corporate web site (https://www.rushydro.ru). The additional issue in question was registered by the Russian FSFM (Federal Service for Financial Markets) December 2^nd, 2010, with a state registration number for the issue of 1-01-55038-Å-039D. The total issue volume is RUR 1,860,000,000.  The issue is being placed via open subscription.

The pre-emptive right is valid for 45 days. During this period, JSC RusHydro's shareholders can submit an application to acquire additional shares (pro rata to their stake in JSC RusHydro's charter capital as of September 14^th, 2010) and pay for these additional shares.  The cut-off date for the pre-emptive right is September 14^th, 2010- the date when the list of shareholders entitled to participate in the EGM, which adopted the decision on the charter capital increase, was compiled.
