KamAZ

October 13, 2003

Along the Bank of the Danube

“RABA-motor” partners from Hungary will power KAMAZ rear- and three-side dump trucks and trucks for transportation of pipes and rolled products, all based on the same 13 ton axle load chassis, with “RABA” designed engines and with a gear box and a clutch of western OEMs. At the end of August, KAMAZ and “RABA-motor” accomplished a joint project on adaptation of power units based on a “RABA D10 TLL-225” Euro-3 engine to a KamAZ-6520 dump truck. KAMAZ plant was submitted a certificate confirming that KamAZ truck meets National standards of Hungary.

Upon furnishing KamAZ dump trucks with Hungarian Euro-3 engines, they will be able to compete with western manufactured vehicles, as being equal in quality their cost will be significantly lower. With assistance of “RABA-motor” company KAMAZ Inc. will be able to market its trucks and provide for their servicing in Hungary.

Next year KAMAZ is planning to deliver to Hungary not less than 100 units. Additionally, orders for KAMAZ vehicles powered with “RABA” engines are currently coming from other countries located on the banks of the Danube and also from Eastern European countries: Romania, Serbia-and-Montenegro, Bulgaria and Poland. Some truck fleet owners from Baltic countries have also shown their interest in this dump truck.

At Motor Show in Budapest, along with the above mentioned modifications of KamAZ- 6520 trucks there will be exhibited NefAZ-5299 suburban coach, and KamAZ-4307 low capacity and low frame city delivery truck.

Sergey Kogoghin, Director General, will head the delegation of KAMAZ Inc. at the coming exhibition.
