On Monday, February 5, the General Director of OAO Mosenergo, A.Ya. Kopsov, chaired a meeting of the Standing Working Group of Moscow-area power company managers. Topics of discussion at the meeting included the results of the power network’s operations during the first cold snap, as well as current questions of cooperation among power companies in the fall-winter peak demand period, power plant operating regimes, including the preparedness of OAO Mosenergo’s power plants to operate in power mobilization mode and the use of gas turbine units at State District Power Plant-3 (GRES-3) to stabilize the power network at peak consumption.

Questions of the preparedness of heating and power system companies for operation during the next cold spell were also discussed.

Participants in the working group included representatives of Moscow Regional Dispatch Control (RDC), OAO MOESK, OAO MGESK, and OAO Moscow Heating System Company.
