MMC Norilsk Nickel has announced the results of the tender for the development and installation of an integrated system of quality control and ecological management that was launched in April. Bureau Veritas Rus, the official representative of the international company Bureau Veritas in Russia has been named the winner. Bureau Veritas will consult MMC Norilsk Nickel on the installation of an integrated system at its production facilities located in the Polar and Kola Peninsulas in accordance with international ISO standards 9001:2000 and 14001:96.
MMC Norilsk Nickel received 21 tender proposals. The Company has studied technical and economic characteristics as well as the scale and quality of the proposed work, the proposed time schedules and qualification of professionals, which were consequently evaluated on a 1 to 100 scale. MMC Norilsk Nickel has selected the contendants with relevant experience in installation of integrated systems of quality control and ecological management.
The Company is planning to complete installation of an integrated system at Polar Division and Kola MMC by 2005. The implementation will commence at Kola MMC. |
