Surgut – The ATR company with its ATR-42 aircraft has won an open tender held by UTair Aviation on supplying five short-haul turboprop aircraft.
From the moment the tender’s winner was announced officially, preparation of a supply contract started. The contract will include the delivery terms and conditions for the aircraft, financial and other provisions. One of the main parameters of the tender was that delivery must be completed not later than by the end of the first quarter of 2005.
As reported earlier, a tender commission chose two types of aircraft meeting the requirements of UTair’s route network in terms of economic efficiency: ATR-42 (the ATR French company and the Magellan Irish leasing company) and DASH-8 (the Bombardier Canadian company).
As reported earlier, UTair Aviation announced the open tender on supplying (leasing) five short-haul turboprop aircraft with a passenger capacity of 35 to 60 on October 25, 2003.
