Gazprom’s Headquarters today hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Zinaida Greceanii, Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.

The parties discussed issues related to Russian gas deliveries to the Republic and underlined their adherence to fulfilling the long-term contract for gas supply to Moldova.

Background:

In 2008 Russian gas deliveries to the Republic of Moldova consumers are projected at over 2.5 bcm.

In December 2006, Gazprom and Moldovagaz signed the 2007-2011 gas supply contract, pursuant to which gas prices are annually calculated according to a formula based on the market principles with the use of discounts (in 2008 the discount is 0.75). By 2011 the price will reach the level of average European prices for Russian gas deliveries.
