A meeting of the Company's security block on the results of work in 2018 was held at IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the Rosseti Group). The key topics of discussion were the fight against receivables and losses in electrical grids, the identification of electricity and electrical equipment theft, as well as work during the last World Cup. As a result of the meeting, the security division of the Samara Distribution Grids became the best security block among the branches of IDGC of Volga.

The Samara DG security division specialists carried out a large-scale work to ensure the anti-terrorism protection of facilities during the key event of the last year - the World Cup. Even before the 2018 World Cup, measures were taken to provide security and video surveillance at facilities involved in the power supply of the Samara Arena stadium and other infrastructure facilities. During the World Cup the personnel was transferred to the day-and-night duty. Thanks to the actions of security officers, it has recently been possible to significantly reduce the number of electricity thefts. So, another key event of last year, successfully implemented by the security control, was the identification of a large theft of electricity for the mining farm.

Thanks to the co-operation with the Department of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the offense was stopped, and a criminal case was initiated against the energy thief under Part 2. Art. 165 of the Criminal Code. The meeting also discussed ensuring the stable operation of the division, the compliance of the principles and methods used with the requirements of the relevant regulatory documents, as well as the cost-effectiveness of the projects being implemented. "Samara Distribution Grids is not for the first time the best. This suggests that we are trying to improve the methods and means of work, to strengthen the work on key areas of this activity.
