The Gazprom headquarters hosted a joint meeting of the Company's Emergency Response & Fire Safety Commission and the Civil Defense Board. The meeting was moderated by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.
The meeting looked at the possibility to create a rescuer training center (site) on the basis of the Gazprom Training Center. The decision was taken to prepare a feasibility study for the site design development.
The meeting participants also deliberated on providing Gazprom subsidiaries with more cutting-edge rescue equipment to prevent and eliminate natural and man-made emergencies at the Company's facilities.
Following the meeting results, specialized subdivisions and subsidiaries of Gazprom were given the tasks aimed at further streamlining of the corporate civil defense and emergency response system.
