Moscow, Russia – May 6, 2011 – Rostelecom (the “Company”) (RTS, MICEX: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia’s national telecommunications operator, announces that  its additional shares have been included in the Quotation List A of the 1^st Level of CJSC Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (“MICEX”) on May 5, 2011. The trading of the newly issued shares is expected to commence on May 12, 2011. The newly issued Rostelecom ordinary shares were placed on April 1, 2011, through the conversion of securities comprising ordinary and preferred shares of the companies, which were merged with Rostelecom on April 1, 2011.

The newly issued securities will trade independently on the MICEX for a three month period starting from April 28, 2011, as 17 separate issues of ordinary shares and one issue of preferred shares. Once the three month period has expired, the separate issues of ordinary shares will be merged into a single security with an individual number.

The trading of OJSC Rostelecom ordinary and preferred shares issued on the MICEX is expected to commence at the beginning of August 2011.

Until the newly issued shares are merged into a single security, they have been assigned the following tickers by the MICEX:
