The power engineers of the branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the Rosseti Group) - Chuvashenergo launched the repair program for 2019. In February and March, the power engineers will perform only those works that are permissible in conditions of low outside ambient temperatures, and only at the objects whose repair will not affect the reliability of power supply to consumers.

 In the near future, repair work will be associated with the replacement of equipment at certain sections of overhead lines (OL) and with clearing lanes of fenced off areas of overhead power lines. In total, Chuvashenergo branch is planning to repair 1,871.3 km of power lines of all voltage classes, 537 10/6/0.4 kV transformer substations, and overhaul 34 35-110 kV substations, including 188 6-110 kV switches, 65 separators and short-circuiters and 139 disconnectors in 2019.

The important objects of the repair program will be 110 kV OL TPP-3-Tingovatovo and TPP-3-Broilernaya, which supply a number of industrial enterprises and socially significant objects with power energy, as well as the population of the Tsivilsky and Cheboksary Districts of the republic. 110 kV Tormoznaya OL provides power supply to consumers in the south-western region of the city of Kanash and adjacent territories. 110/10 kV Algashi SS is a feeding center for residences, water supply facilities, a midwife centre, kindergartens in Kabanovo town and Bolshiye Algashi village of Shumerlinsky District.

 The program of repair of the main equipment for 2019 also provides for the clearance of line routes of all voltage classes from tree and shrubbery vegetation with a total area of 535.4 hectares. Repair work is aimed at ensuring an adequate level of reliability of power grid equipment, uninterrupted power supply to consumers of the Chuvash Republic, and prevention of violations and failures in electrical installations. The power engineers will commence wide-scale repair work in May of this year.
