The head of "Russian grids" discussed with the Governor of the Kaluga region on the issues of development of ESCOs in the region and passing current AWP

General Director of JSC "rosseti" Oleg Budargin held a working meeting with Kaluga region Governor Anatoly Artamonov, during which summed up the work on the development of the electric grid complex (ESC) region over the period from 2014 to 2016, outlined the plans of the power engineers in the next three years and reported on the passage of the current autumn-winter period (AWP).

Oleg Budargin noted that over the past three years, the subsidiary of JSC "rosseti" invested 7.3 billion rubles in the electric grid infrastructure in Kaluga region.

"Rossetti" was performed in the area of 23 thousand contracts on technological connection total capacity issued which amounted to 500 MW. A number of consumers did not fulfill their obligations under signed contracts of grid connection, therefore, some power was unclaimed and transferred to the reserve.

Annual electricity consumption in the region over the period increased by 3.9 %.

In the next three years the plans of "Russian grids" implemented in Kaluga region comprehensive investment program with a volume of about 9 billion rubles.

Key projects will be the construction of substations with voltage class of 500 kV "Obninsk" and substation of 500 kV Beloberezhskoe located in the neighboring Bryansk region in close proximity to the borders of the regions. Her air lines will connect the power plants providing the electricity to the special economic zone of industrial-production type "Kaluga" in Lyudinovo district, Kaluga region.

Oleg Budargin emphasized the importance of maintaining the existing close contacts of power to regional authorities to improve the efficiency of construction and commissioning of new power facilities. "It is essential that they were included in the territorial program of development of the region, provided a real demand for new capacity," - said the head of "Russian grids".

Separately the parties touched upon the issues of the AWP 2016/2017 years characterized by abnormal weather conditions in some regions, including Kaluga oblast.

Oleg Budargin, Anatoly Artamonov told about the ongoing energy the efforts to prevent technological disturbances in grid complex, round-the-clock duty mobile teams ready as soon as possible to troubleshoot the network infrastructure, and availability of emergency reserve and backup power sources.
