An Independent Ecology Rating Agency (IERA) made an assessment of socio-ecological ratings of 100 major Russian companies. Thereby, “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC is among 22 companies recognized as the most transparent from the point of willingness to disclose their environmental impact statistics.
The Company’s environmental impact was assessed against six principal indicators such as utilization of water and water pollution, atmospheric pollution, wastes generation and disturbance of land. In doing so, the IERA experts took into consideration not only the information presented in the Company’s questionnaire but also the data of the State Statistics Committee, the Russian Land Cadastre, the RF Ministry for Natural Resources.
