Today, Gazprom’s Headquarters has hosted a working meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee, Alexander Ozerets, Energy Minister of the Republic of Belarus and Dmitry Kazakov, General Director of Beltransgaz.

The parties addressed the terms for cooperation in the gas sector over 2007.

Alexey Miller emphasized that in 2007 Russian gas supply to Belarus must be paid for at market prices.

Gazprom and Beltransgaz sealed a Gas Delivery and Transit Contract for 2006 on December 27, 2005. Under the Contract, Gazprom will provide Belarus with 21 bcm of gas, of which 1.5 bcm will be supplied provided there is capacity available.

The gas price and transmission tariff are in line with the arrangements for 2005. The gas price is US$ 46.68 per 1,000 cu m. The tariffs for gas transmission by the Beltransgaz-owned networks and Yamal-Europe pipeline are US$ 0.75 and US$ 0.46 per 1,000 cu m, respectively.
