Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), ensured the possibility to connect a new sterlet and pike fish farming in Ekaterinovka settlement in the Samara region. A new customer will receive 0.4 MW to cover its power demands. It will ensure reliable power supply for this new state-of-the-art fish hatchery with projected annual output of up to 2 million sterlet species and 3.6 million pike species.
To ensure technological connection at Alekseevskaya substation (35 kV) being the main power source for this new fish farming facility, specialists of the branch installed new relay protection and automation equipment, current transformers and line-isolating switches. Other completed activities include construction of over 2 km of 10 kV overhead transmission lines, installation of a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation for 630 kVA.
Support of agro-industries, including provision of reliable power supply, is one of priority areas for electric power industry. “Fish farming is one of the upcoming trends in agricultural sector of the Samara region, so the objective of this construction project in Ekaterinovka settlement is to support restoration of sterlet and pike population. And our task is to ensure high quality and reliable power supply. All activities on connection of the fish farming plant to our electrical grid have been completed in full and within the agreed time frame,” comments Konstantin Sanaev, Deputy Director General of IDGC of Volga, PJSC and Director of Samara Distribution Grids.
