In 2016, Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), plans to repair 623.3 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead transmission lines (OHL) and 209.5 km of 35-110 kV OHL, with replacement of 2,798 wooden and reinforced concrete poles. During the repair campaign, 455 10/6/0.4 kV transformer substations will be repaired. Besides, power engineers will perform repairs at 22 110/35/10/6 kV substations, including overhaul repairs at 15 substations. The repair activities will include replacement of six cable entry systems of power transformers at 35-110 kV substations, repairs of 239 switches (6-110 kV), 93 isolating switches, and short circuiting switches and 177 disconnecting switches. Katrasi, one of the main 110/35/10 kV substations of the branch, will be a key facility to be covered by the integrated repair program. In addition, the core equipment repair program for 2016 provides for vegetation management activities along distribution and transmission rights-of-way (OHL of all voltage classes) covering 458.9 ha. The repair operations are carried out to ensure appropriate safety of electrical equipment, provision of uninterrupted power supply for consumers in the Chuvash Republic, and prevention of faults and failures of electrical installations. Power engineers will proceed with large-scale repair operations in May of the current year.
