Today, under the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2010 in the presence of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktor Zubkov, Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors and Minister of Economic Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Maria van der Hoeven, the Chairman of the Management Committee of OAO Gazprom, Alexey Miller and the Chairman of the Executive Board, CEO of Gasunie Marcel Kramer signed an Agreement on strategic cooperation with Foundation Project Delta Group.
The Agreement provides for cooperation between the companies in the energy sector, including production, transportation, underground gas storage and gas processing. Moreover, in accordance with the document, the parties will continue cooperation in the field of energy efficiency, LNG, non-traditional gas sources, environmental protection, scientific and technological cooperation, etc.
The leaders noted the high potential for cooperation on development and creation of infrastructure for hydrocarbon deposits of the Arctic shelf of the Russian Federation.
For successful implementation of the Agreement, the parties agreed to establish a joint steering committee to coordinate the priority areas of interaction.
“Signing the agreement will open new horizons for implementation of large-scale projects using our accumulated experience and innovative technology,” – said Alexey Miller.

Foundation Project Delta Group is an open partnership of Dutch companies and scientific institutions directly cooperating with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers. The Group has been set up for the purpose of promoting long-term cooperation between Russia and the Netherlands to secure sustainable production, transportation and delivery of energy carriers.
