The agreement has been signed by Director General of KAMAZ, Inc. Sergey Kogogin and the chairman of Board of Directors of Industrial Union “Novoye Sodruzhestvo” Konstantin Babkin during the visit of automobile plant delegation in Rostov-on-Don. The targets of the agreement are to strengthen the positions of “Rostselmash” and “KAMAZ” on the markets of the Russian Federation and overseas, and to develop industrial cooperation. The document contains basic concepts and lines of further cooperation.

As for industrial cooperation, the Parties agreed to thoroughly study the issue concerning installation of KAMAZ engines on combine harvesters manufactured by Rostselmash. It is this year when consumers are to receive combine harvesters manufactured by Rostselmash with KAMAZ engines installed on them. K. Babkin informed that KAMAZ is to supply motors for the new model of the grain harvester initially called “Don –XXX”. The Parties are to study the possibility of using the products of Rostov ferrous and non-ferrous foundries (they are a part of “Novoyye Sodruzhestvo” holding) and of Rostselmash division for stamping at KAMAZ.

With the purpose of increasing sales the Parties intend to take actions on joint promotion on the markets in the countries of CIS and overseas. The possibility of cooperation in the area of maintenance of vehicles manufactured by both the plants is to be studied as well. The companies agreed on joint market promotion of “Don” and “Neva” vehicles with KAMAZ engines installed on them.

In the field of economic policy the Parties are planning to consolidate their strength to protect the interests of manufacturers of trucks and agricultural vehicles on the state level. One of the main concepts is market protection against expansion of foreign manufacturers. Special working groups are to be created in both the companies to develop cooperation based on the agreement.

According to Sergey Kogogin, cooperation with Rostselmash is of great strategic significance and aims at perspective. “The partners we work with possess good finance and credit background and we believe in their future”, - he stated.

In Konstantin Babkin’s opinion, industrial and trade cooperation with KAMAZ can bring significant profit to the harvesters producing plant, and can increase competitiveness of Rostselmash production both on foreign and domestic markets.
