The Gazprom Management Committee and the Company's Interregional Trade Union (ITU) Council addressed at the joint meeting the implementation of 2010 General Collective Agreement of Gazprom and its subsidiaries.
It was noted that the obligations had been met. In 2010 employees of Gazprom and its subsidiaries were provided with social benefits and compensations, safe and comfortable labor conditions and medical treatment stipulated by the Agreement. In addition, the accommodation issues were resolved and additional pension coverage was introduced under the Agreement.
Specialized structural units of the Gazprom Administration, heads of the subsidiary companies, the ITU Council and trade unions chairmen were tasked to prioritize obligations under 2011 General Collective Agreement.
Background
The General Collective Agreement of Gazprom and its subsidiaries over 2010 to 2012 was signed on December 4, 2009. The General Collective Agreement covers employees of Gazprom and its fully-owned subsidiaries engaged in natural gas production, transportation, processing, storage and marketing as well as employees of the Company's ITU Council, trade unions of Gazprom and its subsidiaries.
The key objective of the General Collective Agreement is balancing the interests of the employer and the employees in the form of a social partnership and, provided there is financial capacity, granting a broader scope of guarantees and allowances to the employees than stipulated by the Russian legislation, other legal acts and the Gas Industry Agreement.
