Energy specialists of Samara distribution grids have started the overhaul of Chapaevsk main power supply centre

Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), have started the overhaul of 110 kV Chapaevskaya substation, the main power supply centre of the fifth largest urban district of the Samara region.
As a result of the works performed, the reliability of power supply will be significantly increased for the residents of the city, socially important facilities (boilers, kindergartens, schools, hospitals, social retreats and residential institutions), as well as the largest brick factory in the Volga region – Chapaevskiy silicate, LLC.
All repairs of the operating equipment are performed without disconnecting consumers. As part of the overhaul of 110 kV Chapaevskaya substation a current repair of power transformers with a total capacity of 80 MVA, 110 kV circuit breakers, 35 and 110 kV disconnectors, current and voltage transformers, 10 kV busbar sections, 35 kV transformers and other equipment in the outdoor switchgear will be carried out.
The works on the 110 kV Chapaevskaya substation are conducted in accordance with the annual repair program on a non-contracted basis. As planned, repair activities will be completed in August. The 110/6 kV Chapaevskaya substation was set to work in 1955. The power supply of the Chapaevsk Urban District depends on reliable and continuous operation of an energy facility.
The leading sectors here are the chemical industry and the production of industrial explosives, which accounted for about 70% of the total volume of industrial product shipment, facilities of Russian Railways, JSC, Samaraneftegaz, JSC, Chapaevskiy silicate, LLC, several farms, residential and welfare facilities (water pumping station, boiler).
