This prestigious award was presented to the head of one of the largest national telecom operators by Vasily Lanovoy National artist of the USSR and Anatoly Yasnosekirskiy editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Petrovskie Vedomosti". Peter the Great Award was conferred to "UTK" PJSC General Director by the Russian public Council for significant personal contribution to implementation and development of new technologies. This year Valentina Matvienko, Yevgeni Yevtushenko, Georgy Shpak Commander-in-Chief of airborne troops and others were among the laureates in different nominations. Taking the Diploma from Vasily Lanovoy Vladimir Gorbachev addressed his colleagues in the hall: ". This award is our common achievement. It is symbolic that the award is named after Peter the Great. All of us
remember serious reforms carried out during his reign. Today we are on the same way as Russia was three centuries ago I mean reorganization and reformation of telecommunications, provision of high-quality services. This award, as well as those having been received recently in London and Geneva, point to the recognition of "UTK" PJSC not only in national but in global community as well."
