Moscow. 14 June 2005. Chairman of Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais had a meeting with Chairman of Management Board of E.ON AG Dr. Wulf H. Bernotat within the framework of the E.ON AG Supervisory Board’s external session, which took place on 10 June 2005 in Moscow.

In his speech to Dr. Wulf H. Bernotat and members of the Supervisory Board, Anatoly Chubais told about the main objective and today’s status of Russia's electric power sector restructuring. ?? noted that reforming of RAO "UES of Russia" is entering the final stage, and named the major steps taken by the Company to successfully accomplish the reforming according to the plan adopted by the Russian Government.

At request of the E.ON AG Supervisory Board, Anatoly Chubais informed its members on the recent blackout in the Moscow energy system and efforts made by RAO "UES of Russia" subsidiaries’ personnel to stop the blackout cascade and to avoid equipment disruption and human losses. The members of the E.ON AG Supervisory Board believe that strengthening of international cooperation among the world’s utilities, including sharing of information, will enable to minimize the blackout risk.
