Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) perform comprehensive overhaul of Zaton 110/6 kV substation in Saratov. This power facility secure power supply for 25 boiler houses, 6 water supply facilities, 8 medical facilities and more than 24 thousand residents of the Volzhsky district. The installed capacity is 50 MVA. This year the following equipment has been overhauled: oil-filled 6 kV switches of VK-6 type, 110 kV disconnectors with short-circuiting switches, 110 kV disconnectors of RDNDZ-110/630 type with replacement of IOS-110 armored stick-pedestal insulators. The decision to replace armored stick-pedestal insulation was taken after the diagnostics on the appliance MIK-1. Power transformers have had oil cooling systems routinely repaired and oil-filled transformer bushings replaced. Oil receivers have been upgraded and now work according to the new scheme without gravel packing. The 6 kV bus section has also underwent repair works. Energy-efficient infrared heaters have been installed in the indoor switchgear, its lighting system has been repaired. Repair activities at Zaton 110/6 kV substation will increase the reliability of power supply for infrastructural and social facilities, and for residents of the Volzhsky district, Saratov.
