Transneft’s delegation, headed by Simon M. Vainshtock, took part in Russian Economic Forum held in April 19-20, in London.

The seventh Economic Forum unlike the previous ones was remarkable for private patronage of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin. Deputy Government Chairman Zhukov A.D. and Finance Minister A.L. Kudrin also arrived in London.

More than 360 businessmen and politicians, leaders of major institutions, economists and political scientists took an active part in discussions. In the course of plenary sessions there were discussed urgent issues of cooperation in oil and gas sectors, in metallurgy, power industry, telecommunication sphere and on financial markets. There were also touch upon subjects of Russia’s joining to WTO, cooperation with CIS countries, EC and USA. Besides, during the Forum foreign investors got answers to traditional questions on rules of investing to Russian economy.
