The 7th Annual Russian Economic Forum devoted to the key problems of Russia's integration into the world economy was opened in London on Monday, April 19, 2004.
Among the issues being discussed there is an attraction of foreign investments and prospects of cooperation between Russia and the world economic community in various fields including telecommunications and transport, oil and gas, metal manufacture, power industry as well as cooperation in the financial markets.
The Deputy Prime-Minister of the RF A.Zhukov, Minister of Finance A. Kudrin, the heads of investment banks and funds, representatives of business groups as well as politicians and journalists are those who came to London to take part.
At The Forum the working session on telecommunications supported of Svyazinvest was held (April 19, 2004) with General Director of Rostelecom Dmitry Yerokhin reporting on 2003 full year results and the plans for the nearest future. Among the Company's goals for 2004 he underlined leveraging strong regional positions, strengthening competitive position in Moscow, active participation in sector reform and further operational efficiency enhancement.
