June 17, 2008, Moscow: COMSTAR – United TeleSystems JSC (COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading supplier of integrated telecommunication solutions in Russia and the CIS, announced that LLC COMSTAR-Ukraine, a member of COMSTAR-UTS group, and LLC Unified instant payment systems (OSMP) signed a contract on acceptance of payments for telecom services via OSMP terminals in Odessa.

Now inhabitants of Odessa have a fast and convenient way of payment for services provided by COMSTAR-Ukraine – operator of broadband Internet access and IP-TV services, – via the network of express payment terminals installed in the city and operated by one of the leading players on payment system market of Russia and CIS – OSMP. There will be no commission fee for payment of operator’s services via OSMP. At the moment there are more than 170 payment terminals of Unified instant payment systems in Odessa. They are installed in the most visited public places: shopping and entertainment centers, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, mobile shops and etc. Besides, operator’s services in Odessa can be paid for in subscriber’s sections of COMSTAR-Ukraine and bank tills in the same way as before.

In the nearest future Kievers will get an opportunity to pay for COMSTAR services via terminals of Unified instant payment systems. The result is that inhabitants of the two cities will be able to pay for the operator’s services independent of their location using the System’s terminals both in Odessa and Kiev. In perspective, within the frames of partnership with OSMP, it is possible that value-added services and other joint projects will be launched in order to promote operator’s services on the Ukrainian market.
