Russian Grids and ERDF are expanding their mutually beneficial cooperation

During the working visit to France, General Director of Russian Grids, Oleg Budargin, held talks with Chairman of ERDF Board, Philip Monlubu.
The first official meeting of Russian Grids’ head with the new head of the French power grid holding was devoted to a number of issues of strategic partnership.
First of all, the parties discussed in detail the results of the ERDF East under the authority of the sole executive body of Tomsk Russian Grids (subsidiary of Russian Grids) and agreed on the possibility of cooperation in other areas of the Russian Federation.
The agenda of the meeting also included the exchange of experience to reduce network losses, improvement of management practices, improvement of the quality of electric power metering infrastructure for electric vehicles, as well as the implementation of common international standards of qualitative electrical equipment and technologies. In addition, Oleg Budargin and Philip Monlubu considered the promising projects related to the integration of energy systems of the Eurasian continent, and identified priority areas for joint work in 2014.
During the discussion, ERDF leadership noted the high level of preparation of the Russian Grids’ objects to peak loads during the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, recognizing their outstanding experience on the global scale. In January 2014, at Russian Grids’ request, ERDF East conducted an independent audit of the functioning of the Sochi power grid complex before the Olympics.
Much attention was paid during the negotiations to personnel and Youth Policy of Russian Grids Group of Companies. Parties, in particular, agreed to organize the exchange of experiences between young-grid staff of Russian and French power engineering enterprises. In addition, it was decided to jointly prepare the youth round tables, which are traditionally held during of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. This year’s event will be held in the new format with the participation of students of foreign energy universities, as well as young professionals of world grid enterprises.
