ÎÎÎLUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka and OOO LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez were inspected by the Russian Federal Service for Environmental, Technology and Nuclear Supervision to check their performance under a four-party agreement concluded between LUKOIL, Federal Service for Environmental, Technology and Nuclear Supervision, Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology and Federal Anti-Monopoly Service.

In accordance with the agreement, the Company has upgraded its crude distillation and conversion refining facilities with the total capacity of over 20 million tons per year and fulfilled the assumed obligations to produce motor fuel of at least EURO 5 class. LUKOIL invested over $ 10 billion in its refineries over the past 8 years.

State supervision authorities also conducted exercises during the inspection to check the readiness of emergency containment and response resources of LUKOIL subsidiaries.

As a result of the inspections it was acknowledged that the Company fulfilled provisions of the agreement and that ÎÎÎLUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka and OOO LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez were ready to react to potential emergencies.
