Today, June 1, 2011, in Moscow started the II International forum of Adam Smith Institute on the theme "Development of energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewability of energy sector in CIS countries: technology, legislation and investment opportunities."  Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of “IDGC North-West " Georgy Turlov has made a report in the frames of  session devoted to answering the question how to improve energy efficiency in the electric and heat energy sector. The topic of the report was "Safe and / or cheap - the search for compromise."

Chief Engineer of IDGC North-West spoke about the factors affecting the cost of electricity transportation, key requirements for grid companies and problems of reliability, availability and security of electricity in the modern world. "We need to find a compromise to make the situation when the price of electricity provides an acceptable level of reliability and does not limit the development of business” - said Georgy Turlov.
