OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim has joined the ranks of Russian Companies being branch-wise leaders in terms of environmental transparency.

On the verge of the World Environmental Day and Russian Ecologist Day, comparison of eco-energetic efficiency of economics of Russian regions and evaluation of transparency of environmental reporting of almost 4 thousand Russian and Kazakh Companies were performed by the eco-energy rating agency Interfax-ERA, being a part of Interfax International Group.

Eco-energetic transparency of the Companies was estimated by the method of calculation of indicators, which were disclosed by the companies for drawing up such rating, or were published in non-financial statements provided. The estimation took into account data on the Companies’ revenue and headcount as well, which are to be disclosed under legal requirements to reporting of issuers. The disclosed indicators also included so called “forced” transparent data on the Companies’ environmental impact, incorporated in Federal and Regional Reports on Environmental Condition and Protection, for different years.
