Inspections to check preparedness of production departments for safe large-scale repair campaign in regard to the equipment operated by Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) are scheduled to be held from March 17 till April 11.
To this effect, an ad-hoc commission was set. The commission members include specialists of occupational and industrial safety, logistic and technical support services. The commission is to inspect facilities operated by Penzensky, Kuznetsky, Kamensky, Nizhnelomovsky and Serdobsky production departments. The objective of the commission members is to inspect material and technical resources, verify availability of necessary tools and protective clothing necessary for maintenance staff, and the level of operational preparedness of special-purpose vehicles.
In addition, specialists of Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC have conducted practical training (with usage of special simulators for operational and maintenance teams) and theoretical and hands-on training in safe working practices. The repair operations scheduled for 2014 will cover 59 substations of 35-110 kV voltage class. In addition, specialists will conduct capital repairs on overhead power transmission lines 110 kV (281.4 km), 35 kV (1,531.9 km), 6-10 kV (1,836.8 km) and 0.4 kV power lines in the rural communities (1,836.8 km).
