From 1 January 2002 onwards, while providing telecommunica-tions services to physical persons for cash as well as through their debit or credit cards at the tariffs of Open Joint-Stock Company "Moscow City Telephone Network" (OJSC MGTS), Sales Tax shall be collected additionally from telephone users at the rate of 5% of a respective service charge, VAT inclusive

The sales tax collection is being carried out pursuant to the Order of the Russian Federation Ministry of Antitrust Policy and Support of Entrepreneurship dated 12 October 2001 No 1070 "On the Approval of the RF MAP Board Decision" and the Law of the City of Moscow dated 9 November 2001 "On the Sales Tax".
