Rostelecom, Russia’s national long-distance telecommunications operator, has begun the process of reforming its organizational structure. The planned restructuring will focus on the optimization of Rostelecom’s management structure, as well as the consolidation of the organizational structure within our principal business areas.

The first stage of reform will focus on the top level of the corporate structure, implementing an effective ERP system, which will enable the Company to streamline and strengthen its mainstream businesses.

Dmitry Yerokhin, General Director of Rostelecom, commented: “Dynamic development of the telecom market, the introduction of new technologies, changes in demand patterns and increasing competition are some of the challenges we currently face.  We recognize the need to adapt quickly to the changing market environment, and in response, the reforms we are initiating are mainly aimed at enhancing the flexibility of Rostelecom’s management structure. Optimization of the organizational structure will enable Rostelecom to focus its resources on its key commercial, technical and financial activities.”
