On Aug 4 2009 JSC Atomenergoprom held negotiations with the delegation from Venezuela on cooperation in exploiting nuclear technologies.

The Venezuelan Delegation led by Deputy People’s Minister of Energy and Petroleum Maria Gabriela Gonzales included research and manufacturing representatives of companies. Leader of JSC Atomenergoprom delegation was Executive Director Kirill Komarov.

In the course of the negotiations Venezuelan delegation was given a presentation about nuclear power industry of Russia. The parties discussed prospects of Venezuelan nuclear industry development , possibilities for cooperation in construction of  research and desalination reactors, training of Venezuelan nuclear medicine, geological and geophysical research, operation of commercial and research specialists, and scientific and technical staff.
