Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) was a prize winner at the Best Corporate Media contest organised by the Association of Directors for Communications and Corporate Media of Russia (AKMR) in the B2C; B2B Annual Report category. The panel of judges commended MMK's 2019 Annual Report (published in April 2020) and presented them with an award.
The Best Corporate Media contest is held by AKMR, Russia's only professional association of top corporate communicators managers, since 2016. The objectives of the contest are to celebrate companies with the best level of interaction with internal and external audiences, to promote corporate media professionalism and to encourage and support companies to be active in developing their own publications and websites.
MMK was among the winners of the Best Corporate Media 2021 competition, winning the award in the B2C; B2B Annual Report category for its 2019 Annual Report, published in 2020. It provides all important audiences (shareholders and investors, business partners, employees, society, media, etc.) with the company's annual results in an accessible and colourful form: key events, MMK's position in the industry, financial and operational results, sustainable development (ESG) results, and corporate governance structure. MMK's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders successfully approved the report on 29 May 2020.
"MMK traditionally pays great attention to reporting, including annual reports - these documents highlight the Company's work for the widest possible audience," commented Mariia Nikulina, Head of MMK's Financial Resources Department, on the success of the annual report in the AKMR competition. “It is very important for MMK to provide its shareholders, partners and all other stakeholders with timely, comprehensive, accessible and transparent information about its operations. We are delighted with the ACMR award and will certainly continue to improve our reporting efforts.”
