Pavel Livinskiy: 'Our joint efforts brought the power grid of Kabardino-Balkaria up to the TOP 10 of the most reliable grids in Russia'

During his two-day visit to the North Caucasus Federal District, Pavel Livinskiy, Rosseti CEO, met Kazbek Kokov, the acting Head of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic

"The state of the electric grid complex of Kabardino-Balkaria is one of the best in the NCFD. According to the results of the autumn-winter period, the branch of Kabbalkenergo has been ranked as ninth in Russia security-wise. This positive dynamics definitely would not have been possible without the constructive interaction with authorities of the Republic and personal supporting of power engineers' activities by the Head of the region. We will continue to develop power grids in order to improve living standards of population of the region," Pavel Livinskiy stated.

Participants to the meeting discussed implementation of the Loss Reduction Program for Kabardino-Balkaria. By 2022, Rosseti is going to allocate 900 million rubles for implementation of respective measures - it's meant to reduce the average level of losses to 12%.

"We will install over 40 thousand smart metering devices, reconstruct 135 km of power lines. The economic effect from losses reduction shall reach 131 million rubles. These funds will be used to upgrade the power grids of the Republic," Pavel Livinskiy mentioned.

Rosseti, together with the Government, had previously developed a project road map that would allow to financially rehabilitate the power grid of the Republic, and to bring the level of payment for electricity in the region to 100% by 2023.

According to Kazbek Kokov, nowadays Rosseti "actively shapes the current model of reforming industry in the country, which definitely gains traction of the authorities of the Republic".

During the meeting, Vitaly Ivanov, the Head of the North-Caucasian Rosseti branch, suggested to negotiate a long-term agreement on strategic cooperation between Kabardino-Balkaria and IDGC of the North Caucasus - at that, its signing would be considered as soon as possible.
