Today, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of JSOC Bashneft has accepted the early resignation of members of the Board of Directors and elected the following persons to the new Board of Directors:

• Charles Watson, member of the Board of Directors of KAZ Minerals Pls, independent director;
• Evgeny Guryev, Minister of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Bashkortostan;
• Maurice Dijols, member of the Board of Directors of IG Seismic Services, independent director;
• Anthony Considine, Director of Considine Solutions Pty Ltd, independent director;
• Alexander Korsik, President, Chairman of the Management Board of JSOC Bashneft;
• Rustem Mardanov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan;
• Viktor Orlov, President of Non-Governmental Organization Russian Geological Society;
• Vitaly Sergeychuk, Head of the Department of Property Relations and Privatization of Major Enterprises of the Federal Agency for State Property Management;
• Alexey Teksler, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation;
• Yury Shafranik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CJSC Inter-State Oil Company Soyuzneftegaz.

At the meeting of the Board of Directors held after the Meeting of Shareholders, Alexey Teksler was elected Chairman of the Board in accordance with a directive of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The Board of Directors also approved the membership of five committees: the Strategy Committee (chaired by Yury Shafranik), the Audit Committee (chaired by Anthony Considine), the Nominating and Compensation Committee (chaired by Maurice Dijols), the Health, Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility Committee (chaired by Charles Watson) and the Budget Committee (chaired by Rustem Mardanov).
