AO MOSENERGO is concerned with the hasty and incorrect conclusions drawn by Moscow subway officials regarding the reasons for the accident at Taganskaya line in August 2003.
AO MOSENERGO believes that this accident took place in grids that are owned by the Moscow subway. Regretfully, this is not the first case when municipal services have tried to shift responsibility for their own failures on AO MOSENERGO.
Thus, due to poor performance of Mosvodostok (drains operator) intensive rains have repeatedly flooded AO MOSENERGO's substations. On July 9, the crane used at the construction of the third ring motorcade fell on AO MOSENERGO's cable lines. As a result, the company had to shut its Lefortovo substation. On May 22, AO MOSENERGO was blamed for disconnection of power from Moscow subway due to the fire at the Beskudnikovo substation. However, an interagency commission has proved that AO MOSENERGO supplied the power to Moscow subway without interruption on that day, and the failure has to be blamed on the subway technicians who failed to switch the power.
Such irresponsible attitudes do not help to efficiently resolve municipal operation problems.
AO MOSENERGO is ready to assist the Moscow subway and other municipal services in operating electric grids used by them.
