The total amount of debts owed by federal consumers of electric power to AO MOSENERGO fell to 517 932 000 rubles as compared to 1 316 351 000 rubles as of January 1, 2001.
Many major consumers paid their debts in full to AO MOSENERGO, including the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transportation, Health, Culture and Labor and Social Development as well as Federal Security Service, FAPSI, State Customs Committee, Federal Border Service, Foreign Intelligence Service, Russian Education Academy, and others. AO MOSENERGO was satisfied with all these organizations having fulfilled their obligations under power supply contracts.
Meanwhile, a number of key government agencies, such as the ministries of Defense, Interior, Education, Emergency Situations, and Justice as well as the Medical Center for the Office of the President, Main Directorate for Special Programs for the President, and State Sports Committee are still on the list of AO MOSENERGO’s debtors. Therefore, the company intends to continue the effective marketing policies and apply decisive measures to violators including cutting off electricity.
