The committee members evaluated technical condition of equipment, relay protection and automation devices, dispatching and operations control systems, aesthetic condition of buildings and structures. The committee of IDGC of Volga mentioned responsible approach of specialists of Western Electric Grids of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC to the preparing and holding the contest. In the opinion of the contest committee members, all participating substations of the branch are in due aesthetic and technical condition. Finally, 35/10 kV substation Logachevskaya was in the first place with 87 points of 100 possible. “During preparation to the contest, substation equipment and buildings underwent repair and maintenance. To ensure fire and environmental safety, oil receiver and oil collector were installed. Contest results demonstrated not only adequate readiness of equipment but also well co-ordinated work of the staff”, remarked Alexander Kuznetsov, chief engineer of Western Electric Grids of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC.
