Net book profit for the first three quarters of 2001 totaled Rub 100.3 mn. Net book profit margin was 12.2%. Profits from sales reached Rub 173.1 mn.

Lines in service stood at 10, 763 at the end of 3Q 2001, of which:

• 7,643 were urban lines; and

• 3,120 were rural lines.
