Five out of the nine cases (for the total amount of 101 million rubles) were brought earlier this year, while the rest of cases were launched in 2000.

According to the AO MOSENERGO legal department, in the third quarter of 2001, six cases brought by wholesale resellers against the Moscow region Energy Commission, aimed at reversing tariff increases for AO MOSENERGO, were still being reviewed. In all these cases AO MOSENERGO acted as a third party defending the tariff increases. As of today, the court refused to satisfy claims of two cases, while the remaining cases were still under review. The court also ordered a financial analysis for two cases. One of the plaintiffs gave up his claims.
