Moscow, 23 April 2004. Tomorrow, 24 April, the Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais will hold an All-Russia Meeting of chief executives of regional energos and AO-power plants of RAO "UES of Russia". The Conference will be attended by the heads of RAO UES executive administration, Directors General of the Holding's subsidiaries and dependent companies. The Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President to the North-West Federal Okrug Ilya Klebanov, St.-Petersburg Governor Valentina Matviyenko, Leningrad Region Governor Valery Serdyukov, State Duma Deputies, and members of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation will also take part in the Conference.
The Conference will sum up the results of the 2003/2004 autumn-winter period for RAO UES enterprises. Besides, the participants will address the issues of ensuring reliable operation of RAO "UES of Russia" during the period of the electric power industry restructuring, as well as the progress in the reforming of regional energos and the changes in RAO "UES of Russia" scheduled for 2004.
All-Russia Conferences of Directors General of regional energos and AO-power plants are traditionally held twice a year. in spring and autumn. The autumn conferences are held to address the current issues of energy companies' activities, primarily, preparation for the autumn-winter peak load. At spring conferences, the results of energy companies work in the autumn-winter period are summed up and the key priorities for further development of RAO "UES of Russia" and its subsidiaries are identified.
