Halobutyl rubber production facility nearing its commissioning time

A Polystyrene Plant being put into operation, "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" Inc has bent every effort to commissioning the next important unit - Halobutyl Rubber Production Facility. In the third current quarter, the construction and erection work there is supposed for the most part to be completed. To-date, the construction of the HBR Production Facility has consumed USD 57.8 MM. The construction and erection work is already nearing completion: a priority is set for hexane and purified bromine water storage tanks. In September, they will be handed over for comprehensive testing. The pace of work is as such that already this December, one month earlier than planned, the Production Facility will start commissioning operations. For now, tentative lots of halobutyl rubber up to 1000 tons produced at the Pilot Unit are being sent to potential users.
 As early as today, "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" Inc needs to find the market for its novel HBR products. Vladimir Busygin, General Director of the Company, has given instructions as to comprehensive cooperation with potential partners in selling new products.
