From 13th to 17th February 2007 North-West Telecom will take part in the 14th International Specialized Exhibition of Communication and Telecommunication Systems – Norwecom-2007. Traditionally, OJSC N.W.Telecom, as the biggest provider of telecommunication services in the North-West, is both an exhibitor and a co-organizer of the exhibition and invites everybody to see its exhibits and attend the numerous events in the framework of the exhibition.

At Norwecom-2007 OJSC N.W.Telecom will present its new project, Avangard TV, for users of the Avangard service.  Avangard TV is a package of interactive multimedia services, including digital TV, postponed viewing services (network videotape recorder) and video on demand. The new project will be presented at the stand of OJSC N.W.Telecom in the Avangard TV section daily.  Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the service, learn about the terms of its provision and submit an application for connection to it.   The Avangard TV service will be commissioned in April 2007.  Those applying during the exhibition will be able to use the test version of the service.

North-West Telecom will also present other up-to-date telecommunication services for the population and organizations at the Infocom-2007 exhibition. The Alliance-PRO exhibition section will present services for corporate clients having various needs as concerns telecommunication services: Alliance-PRO – Office, Alliance-PRO – Prestige and Alliance-PRO – Corporation. The Avangard section will present services for the population – broadband access to the Internet according to the ADSL technology and extra Avangard services: Network Games, My Files and My Photos.

According to the established tradition, OJSC N.W.Telecom makes special offers at the exhibition.  For corporate clients, this is connection to the Alliance-PRO – Office package for 50% of the price and, if the Alliance-PRO – Prestige package is bought, connection to the Internet as a gift.   For visitors of the exhibition, who are subscribers of the St. Petersburg branch of OJSC N.W.Telecom, connection to the Avangard service for 1 rouble and an ADSL modem as a gift are offered, as well as a discount of 50% for the subscriber fee for the first month of servicing.

On the final day of the exhibition, winners of the children's creativity competition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of telephone communication in St. Petersburg, a jubilee for the communication people of the North-West, will be awarded prizes at the stand of North-West Telecom.

13th-15th February: the 3rd St. Petersburg scientific practical conference "Infocommunication Technologies: Science for Business". dedicated to problems of education, science and interaction of scientific circles with business in the light of infocommunication technologies, organized with the support of OJSC N.W.Telecom, the St. Petersburg Prof. M.A. Bonch-Bruyevich State University of Telecommunications, the Presidium of the United Teaching and Methodological Council on Information Systems and of the Teaching and Methodological Commission on Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management.
