A Gazprom delegation headed by Management Committee Chairman Alexey Miller has visited Qatar.

Alexey Miller took part in an enlarged meeting involving Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Qatar has lately become a prominent natural gas producer and LNG exporter. The role of Qatar as gas exporter will continue growing. In 2005 the country exported some 28 bcm of LNG. Within the nearest 5-6 years Qatar’s export capabilities will see a several fold increase.
