Tomorrow Severstal Personnel Department conducts an information conference for secondary school graduates and their parents. They will meet with representatives of several universities, including Cherepovets State University, Moscow State University of Steel and Alloys and St. Petersburg Technical University. All of these schools have degree programs appropriate for employment at Severstal. Severstal acting personnel director Leonid Gavrilov took part in the opening of the conference.
This traditional conference is held by Severstal for the forth time. It is held to inform secondary school graduates of a multitude of issues, such as what majors are needed by Severstal, what school offer these majors and what scholarships are offered by the company as well as about other forms of the company's support of these universities.
The conference is held just before early university entry examinations to be held by St. Petersburg State University in Cherepovets in March and by Moscow State University of Steel and Alloys in April-May.
Today 230 students from 15 universities have study contracts with Severstal. Of them 10 graduates will join Severstal team in March. Six of them have degrees with honors.
