Uralkali is one of the sponsors of children's Internet club
The presentation of children's internet-club "Matrix" was held in the Berezniki arts school named after L.A. Starkov. The club was organized as an informal association of all children who want to study information technologies and develop their creative abilities in the field of computer music and painting. The internet-club was organized under the program "Social Technologies of the Future," which is one of the winners of the second city competition of socio-cultural projects.
This year, thirty seven projects were presented to this competition. The jury selected seventeen best projects and Uralkali allocated funds for carrying out two of them: "Social Advertising 'AIDS Against You'" and "Social Technologies of the Future." The Starkov school received 80 thousand rubles, the largest grant, from the company. This money was used to acquire the necessary equipment and training programs. In addition to this, Uralkali helped the Starkov school carry out school repairs.
"We have a convenient and beautiful dancing hall," says school principal Vera Pomortseva. "Only its floor was in a terrible condition: it has not been repaired for almost 10 years. We were unable to carry out the repair by ourselves and asked Uralkali people to help us. They responded at once: quickly brought the materials and sent a construction brigade. Only for five (!) days they built an excellent floor for us. This is a wonderful present to school students."
